| Hello !
I am sure that you all know the start trick shot in 9 ball, with which you can pot the 9 ball with the first shot and win immediately. Different variations of that trick are known. I am able to play it too, but I dont do it in a game against another player because I think this is no fair play and no game at all. I love to play 9, it is always a challenge and a surprise. But I dislike all those players, who play that win shot and run away without replay for a quick rating or to keep their 5* safe. That win shot is no special skill or sign of a good 9 player, anyone who knows the right point to hit can copy it easily. Many people like 9 ball game but dont play it because of those betrayers. In 9 ball online tournaments only a central start shot is allowed to avoid such a no fair win. Real professional billiards separates tournaments and trick shows strictly from each other. My idea for Gamezer 9 ball is to change the software of the 9 ball game program with the following effect: If a 9 ball start shot pots the winning 9 ball all potted balls are put back on the table in different positions without a win and the game continues. This will satisfy both sides : Anyone who likes to play a trick shot for show or entertainment is able to do it, and anyone who likes to play 9 ball like a fair game is not able to be betrayed by no fair run away people. I have discussed my idea with a lot of top 9 ball players and trick show stars like MEX Alisson, and they agreed with me. Now I put it into this forum to be discussed by all, and hope that such a change is possible to the benefit of all serious and fair players !
Thanks !

| I think that is unfair only when a player is invited to use the star trick shot 9-ball and leaves the game without giving opportunity to another player making his game, certainly in tournaments not should allow |

| Tournaments are no trouble. Because in 9 ball tournaments usually only central start shots are allowed, with which you are not able to pot the 9 and win. If you play trick shot in a tournament you are disqualified by the Administrator, this is easy to handle. But I talk of lots of common players in Gamezer, who are betrayed by trick shot and run away players. My idea to put the balls back onto the table by the program automatically after a start trick shot and 9 pot and to continue game is the easy solution for all players like me, who suffer by such unfair players. Nearly 90 % of my losses in 9 ball are caused by that start trick shot, although I am a pretty good 9 player. The only chance to avoid such unfair practice for all victims is to change the software in the way I suggested.

| I agree with your opinion, but I think this start is legal when shot also given the opportunity to another player to start his game |

| In every gamezer game exist many trick shoots, they are ok but obviously can't be used in tournaments... That's the main reason why we create a detailed set of rules for each competition. :D |

Yes, trick shots are allowed for exercise, show and entertainment ! But not for an easy 1 start shot no fair win in 9 ball ! In my suggestion for 9 ball only anyone can play a successful start trick shot, but then program puts back balls onto table and the game is allowed to continue without a sudden win!
Trick shots in the game, like rebounds, 3 band shots, top spin and more are welcome ! I only like to stop those unfair 1start shot and run away wins in 9 ball!
I dont know if it is possible to change the 9 ball game software in such a way, but this would open the only fair solution for all ! Trick shot players and game players ! |

Yes, inside the game trick shots are welcome in all variations, but not at the start to launch an easy one shot win in 9 ball. With a 1 shot start trick win you cant decide who is the better player of both in 9 ball game !
Imagine, you win with start trick, i win, you win , i win .....??? The never ending story ? Better we go for a drink instead of that !
In tournaments we have rules and administrators, who dont allow start trick shot wins in 9 ball, of course !
But outside of tournaments in common games and public rooms we have rulebreakers, outlaws and no fair betrayers ! And Administrators are not able to watch any game. I only like to protect the common fair 9 ball players against the 1shot start trick easy win no fair and run away players in 9 ball ! |

| Trouble and fact is that many people although they write "2 games" into their nick name run away after one successful trick shot win. My practical solution now is to play mostly 9 ball games, which i can start. I begin without a trick shot, enjoy the game, and at the end i ask my partner not to play a start trick shot. If he agrees we continue with next game, mostly then a series of games. If he does not agree i close and have played one fair game. Another good chance for fair play 9 ball games is to play only with friendly players i know from further games. I must repeat that the 9 ball start trick shot is no game at all, but an easy win or a show. Any game of billiard must consist of more than only one shot or it runs out in a boring one-man-show. More fun is to play tricks inside a game and not to close a game with one shot before it really has begun. I am happy to realize that since i launched this topic many players do not play this trick shot against me anymore. I say thank you to all those fair players and welcome them to invite me for a nice game of 9 !!! |

| Thanks for the hint Mr. Mystery ! I watched ReRe play against you in russian snooker tournament. To complete what you said , you both are great players ! I would be honoured if he plays me, I will search him... It comes across my mind that real great play is somehow connected with fair play ! |
